The Cathedral of Seville, officially known as the Cathedral of Saint Mary of the See, is one of the most impressive architectural gems in Spain and the world. It is the largest Gothic cathedral in the world and the third largest Christian temple in size after Saint Peter in Rome and Saint Paul in London. In 1987, it was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
The construction of the cathedral began in 1401 and was completed in 1506. Its design is a mix of Gothic and Renaissance styles, with some Baroque elements added in later centuries.
