Gastronomic products of Curitiba

• Barred

  Barreado is a traditional dish from the Paraná region, where Curitiba is located. It is a beef stew that is simmered for several hours in a sealed clay pot with a mixture of cassava flour and water. The result is a tender and juicy meat that is served with rice, fried plantain and farofa.

• Onça Meat

  Despite its name, Onça Meat has nothing to do with feline meat. It is a typical dish from Curitiba that consists of raw beef, finely chopped and seasoned with onion, chives, mustard, Worcestershire sauce and brandy. It is served on rye bread and accompanied with pickles and mustard.

• Pão de queijo
